About Me
Welcome! My name is Nina. I am passionate about traveling and created this blog so I can share my tips and tricks about travel so your trips can be more enjoyable by learning some insider information before you head out.
So, I am sure you are thinking to yourself why should I follow this chick. Who is she? Where has she been? What can she offer me? Well, I am going to tell a little about myself and hopefully, that will help.
I was born in Michigan and lived there until I was 7 and then moved to Columbus, Ohio (which is my favorite place I have lived!). We moved to Georgia when I was 9. My little brother and I wondered what we had done wrong to move to such a hot, horrible place. It was September and it was the hottest place we had ever been and we were so far away from our family and friends. And then to find out that they see little to no snow! WHAT?!?! Over time, it grew on us (the place, not the heat!). The advantage to living so far away was that we drove (yes, drove) back and forth many times a year to Michigan so we got to stop and see many places along the way of the 12 or so hour drive.
Outside of visiting our family, my parent’s idea of a vacation was going to the beach in Florida which is probably why I am not a big fan of going to the beach as an adult. I was too busy dreaming of seeing the world. I was an avid reader and already wanted to go to Greece, Italy, Turkey, and Egypt. Being a kid in the ’80s, I got to watch my favorite bands walk around in exotic and beautiful locations like Sri Lanka, Antigua, Australia, and the Eiffel Tower.
Like many Americans, I am a mutt. So, I travel to have a better understanding of who I am.
